When the issue of the Pajero bishops surfaced, the Freethinkers immediately jumped into a conclusion WITHOUT verifying the story. So much for "Critical Thinking" which they have always been proud of.
As it turned out, it wasn't Pajeros at all but were old vehicles that wer ACTUALLY used for humanitarian purposes.

To put an exclamation point to all this silly and irresponsible accusations against the bishops,
the Senate concluded its investigation thus:
Senator Santiago: "there was no constitutional violation"
Senator Enrile: "bishops unfairly accused"
PCSO chair Margie Juico: "I am so sorry for whatever this may have caused. I really do not know where that came from. In fact, I have already said that there was no Pajero here and in fact, I enumerated the cars,”
“I don’t recall saying Pajeros. It was, I think, an information that was given to us by one of the managers in the PCSO when they said utility vehicles were given to bishops,”
